Position: Tax Analyst at OpenTable (Remote-USA, East Coast Preferred)

As a Tax Analyst at OpenTable, you’ll join a dynamic finance operation within the Booking Holdings family, supporting both KAYAK and OpenTable brands. You’ll play a crucial role in the daily operations of the global tax function, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Global Tax, the Tax Analyst will assist in various tax-related activities, supporting domestic and international tax initiatives. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves working with numbers, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions (experience with ASC 740 is advantageous).
  • Assist in preparing income tax provision work papers, including ASC 740-10 (FIN 48) calculations and tax account roll-forward schedules.
  • Support the preparation of income tax journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly variance analysis.
  • Provide tax support for different departments, including tax projections, modeling various income tax scenarios, and assisting with ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data for income tax provision and compliance purposes.
  • Address inquiries from tax authorities regarding notices and examinations.
  • Assist in SOX testing for income tax accounts.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax statutes and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a professional setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of tax accounting concepts.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to manage multiple priorities, and maintain high work standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter attitude with a team-oriented approach.

The salary range for this United States located role is $70,000-$90,000, in addition to competitive compensation and benefits.
