Alex Otti Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerian Students 2024

Scholarships

Many individuals who have risen from underprivileged backgrounds and achieved remarkable success or wealth attribute their accomplishments to education. They often emphasize that education has been instrumental in changing their life trajectories, asserting that without it, they may not have reached their current positions. A prominent example is our founder, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, who has repeatedly acknowledged the pivotal role of education in his own journey to success. The Alex Otti Foundation (AOF) recognizes the transformative power of education and has been actively committed to fostering a stronger Nigerian society through impactful educational initiatives. One such initiative is the annual awarding of undergraduate scholarships to financially disadvantaged students.

The Foundation is now inviting applications for the 2023/2024 edition of its undergraduate scholarship scheme. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students with ancestral ties to, or residing in, Abia State, enabling them to pursue their educational goals.

The scholarships will be awarded to individuals based on their exceptional academic records, leadership potential, and a demonstrated commitment to utilizing their acquired knowledge for the betterment of society. It is expected that recipients will use their talents and expertise to make meaningful contributions to societal development upon completion of their studies. The Alex Otti Foundation anticipates that its scholarship beneficiaries will emerge as a formidable network of leaders, both individually and collectively, dedicated to enhancing the welfare of Abia State and Nigeria as a whole.

How to Apply: Interested and qualified candidates can apply through the Alex Otti Foundation website at portal.alexottifoundation.org

Note: The scholarship is for residents in Abia State. There is no difference between those who ancestrally hail from the state and those whose families migrated from elsewhere. As long as you live in the state, even if you are schooling elsewhere in Nigeria, you are eligible. Indigent students are those whose families cannot genuinely afford the cost of tertiary education. Those with the means to afford tertiary education should consider staying away from this scholarship a way of giving back to the society. Due to the volume of entries received in every edition, only candidates who scale through the first screening will be contacted. For more details, visit the Alex Otti Foundation website.
