Compensation Range: $170,000 to $195,000 base plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Huntress, you’ll lead a feature delivery team in designing, developing, and releasing software features for the Huntress SIEM Platform. You’ll contribute to the technical vision for new features, working with a team of skilled problem solvers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical aspects of Portal feature development, including UX/UI and API-focused work.
- Lead the development of high-quality, scalable software, designs, and architecture.
- Collaborate with the product team to devise creative solutions for key features.
- Provide architectural and design direction as a technical thought leader.
- Ensure code quality and test coverage through reviews and test plans.
- Provide accurate estimates and take ownership of timely work completion.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster collaboration and engagement within the team.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of Ruby on Rails programming experience.
- Experience with large data sets and OLAP DBMS (ClickHouse/SQL preferred).
- Deep understanding of ActiveRecord (Rails) and experience with S3.
- Familiarity with structured and unstructured log and event data.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with AWS Cloud Environments.
- Experience with Linux-based infrastructure and databases such as Postgres.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the entire software development lifecycle.
